Describe your character?
When I read the part of Brenda, I was intrigued by her strengths. First and foremost her character represented a strong family oriented woman who loved her husband and her children and only wanted the best for them. She was also a career woman and was well respected by those who knew of her and her peers. Last but not least she was admired by many as mentioned in the movie for the beauty she possessed. I felt i could portray this character so easily because I'm a mother of two daughters who are my inspiration for life-and their welfare and In achievements are based upon my mentoring, support and guidance.... not to mention I think I'm pretty hot Mom too!
What does this project mean to you?
This project was an open door to endless opportunities. I have always remained optimistic when it comes to my dreams of being an actress or having a career within the entertainment field. Being apart of a film made in oakland was very educational for me as well. a Texas native, I knew of the black panthers but didn't know exactly what their political party stood for so i strongly appreciated the history enlightenment. I also felt that this film showcased some local talented actors/actresses who definitely should be proud of their contributions toward this project and I wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
What are you future film goals?
I'm majoring in broadcasting. Along with acting I'm very much interested In becoming a news/sports anchor. I will also take a few acting classes as well. just recently i've been asked to read parts for some local movies being made in the bay area. I'm my own worst critic and seeing myself on film wasn't too pleasing so i have been working out with a trainer consistently these days with a few photographers waiting in the wings to do a photo shoot of me..... we'll see where that leads. so I say the sky is the limit for me.Putting God first and taking it one day at a time.
Tell us something people dont know about you?
There's a lot that people dont know about Romania and I kind of like it that way. A mysterious woman,Keep them wondering is what my momma says. I will say that I have a big heart. a very loving & caring individual. I sometimes wonder why God made me this way because I'm often disappointed due to being perceived as the total opposite and I'm not that way at all. I say dont judge a book by it's cover. i have genuine love for all and I feel that's why God has granted me favor with many!!! I AM TRULY BLESSED!
