Keita Jones "D-Mann"

Describe your character?
Aside from being the leader of the infamous Grimey Boys, D-mann is your typical Oakland loser type wannabe thug. Most of these cats out here never been tested or been through any real issues. They play like they are hardcore because they come from a certain area in the Town but in reality they are living off of the notorious reputation of their block when they personally never put in any work for the turf. D-mann is an all around sucka playing to be hard. D-Mann acts like a ruthless killer and a boss but when he chokes out or flashes on a few females and that itself isn't becoming a man. Lastly, there are two basic rules when coming up in Oakland. Don't snitch and dont turf hop. Although D-mann never snitches on anyone, He was a turf hopper that and he was crying In Rita wearing "reds" that ain't gangster eventually redemption comes and gets his card pulled.

What does this project mean to you?

This project means a lot because it's my first feature film. Also, there have been many inner-city like Menace,Jason's Lyric,Juice and ATL. For the first time In history, we(being people from Oakland) can tell our story on how we are living. Every hood is the same,But the people are different. Oakland finally has a movie that represents us natives and I'm honored that I had a chance to participate in that I'm even more excited that i play a character who is integral to the plot of the movie. It was a great experience and I developed what I anticipate will be lifelong relationships with my fellow cast members

What are your future goals?

Nothing yet,But will see. I'm ready to work though.

As unpopular as my opinion may be, I think 3x Crazy "Stacking Chips" is one of the greatest hip-hop albums ever produced and the best album ever released out of the Bay Area.
